Brass Pet Tag: most durable material we offer. Brass pet tags are roughly 0.0400" thick and are the heaviest material. Brass tags are what I recommend and what my dogs wear.

Aluminum Pet Tag: fairly durble and comes in many pretty colors. The text on aluminum tags is silver making it more legible against a dark colored tag. The engraved face of an aluminum pet tag is susceptable to scratching and must not be against another tag when installed on the pets collar. Anodized aluminum tags are roughly 0.0500" thick and are about half the weight of brass tags.

Plastic Pet Tag: least durable material and should only be used on less active dogs and cats. Plastic comes in many colors with the text in a contrasting color. The surface will not scratch. Less information fits on plastic tags than on metal tags because the font size can't be as small. Plastic pet ID tags are roughly 0.1290" thick and weight slightly less than aluminum tags.
